Obituary of Betty M. Pullen

Princeville - Betty M. Pullen, 78 , of Princeville, died at 9:24 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2001 , at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria .

Born October 9, 1923 , in Peoria , Illinois , the daughter of Henry and Maude Sparks Walters, she married Ben Pullen on August 20, 1947 , in Peoria . He survives.

Also surviving are 2 daughters , Diane (and Dan) Day of Princeville , IL , and Judy (and Tony) Mast of Hendersonville, TN; 2 granddaughters ; 3 grandsons ;

1 great-granddaughter ; 1 great-grandson ; and 1 sister , Doris (and Al) Hufeld of Orlando, FL. Twin sons, David and Michael Pullen preceded her in death.

She first worked at First National Bank in Peoria for 10 years as a bookkeeper, then later she worked for Larson Machine Company in Princeville as a bookkeeper for 23 years until retiring.

She volunteered at Wildlife Prairie Park for many years and was a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church , Princeville.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2001 , at Princeville United Methodist Church . Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 til 6 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2001 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens , Peoria .
