Obituary of John R. Cropin Princeville - John R. Cropin, 89, of Princeville, died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2002 , at Proctor Hospital , Peoria . Born January 1, 1913 , in Houtzdale , Pennsylvania , the son of Mike and Mary Dutzco Krupinski, he married Thelma B. King on August 7, 1937 , in Niles , IL . She survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters , Shirlyn Ratcliff-MacPherson of Cary, North Carolina, and Eleen (and Rodney) Emberson of Paxton, IL; 1 son , Rick (and Debbie) Cropin of Princeville, IL; 5 grandchildren ; 8 great-grandchildren ; and 2 brothers , Joe Cropin of Round Lake, IL, and Frank Cropin of Chicago, IL. His parents, 2 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, 3 sisters and 2 brothers preceded him in death. He worked construction and was a member of the Labor Union #165 for 50 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Princeville. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Edward Purcell will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 til 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery , Princeville.
