OBITUARY OF DOROTHY E. HARMON PRINCEVILLE - Dorothy E. Harmon, 94, of rural Princeville, died at 3:33 pm Saturday, February 16, 2002 , at Rosewood Care Center , Peoria . Born March 15, 1907, in Edelstein, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Lilla VanTassel Wenker, she married Robert C. "Clement" Harmon on February 25, 1936, in Princeville. He died November 23, 1998 , in Peoria . Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Gerald Wenker and Clyde Wenker. Surviving is 1 son , Robert L. (and Carol) Harmon of rural Princeville, 2 grandchildren , Mary (and David) Rawlins and David Harmon, and 2 great-granddaughters . She and her husband farmed near Princeville for many years. She was a member of Edelstein Congregational/UCC Church, Edelstein. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Monday, February 18, 2002 , at St. Clement's Cemetery, rural Dunlap. Rev. Richard Sather will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron/Princeville Ambulance Service. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
