Obituary of George Kieser

Princeville - George Kieser, 90, of 232 Ostrom Ave , died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2002 , at Apostolic Christian Skylines, Peoria .

Born September 10, 1912 , in Morton , IL , the son of David and Martha Rassi Kieser, he married Esther Knobloch on March 20, 1938 , in Princeville.

She survives, along with 3 daughters , Marjorie (and Jack) Zimmerman of Deer Creek, IL, Delores (and Donald) Duckworth of Bradford, IL, and Nancy (and Robert) Wieland of Laura, IL; 2 sons , Charles (and Marie) Kieser of Scottsdale, AZ, and Randy (and Brenda) Kieser of Wyoming, IL ; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren ; and 1 brother , David Kieser of Princeville. 2 brothers and 5 sisters preceded him in death.

He farmed in Valley Township , Stark County , for 50 years, retiring in 1978. After retiring, he volunteered for Proctor Hospital and Apostolic Christian Skylines for many years. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2002 , at the Apostolic Christian Church. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4:00 p.m., then 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, and also from 12:00 Noon until 12:45 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery .
