Obituary of Ruth I. Kieser

Princeville - Ruth I. Kieser, 82, of Princeville, died at 7:05 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2002 , at Proctor Hospital , Peoria .

Born September 9, 1919 , in Larchwood , Iowa , the daughter of William and Pauline Feucht Knobloch, she married David E. Kieser on August 18, 1940 , in Princeville , IL . He survives.

Also surviving 1 son , Verle (and Lavonne) Kieser of Buda, IL; 2 daughters , Karen (and Harold) Steiner of Princeville, IL, and Patricia (and Skip) Meister of Peoria, IL; 10 grandchildren ; 18 great-grandchildren ; 3 brothers , William "Nick" (and Gladys) Knobloch and James (and Helen) Knobloch both of Princeville, IL, and Robert (and Marvel) Knobloch of Morton, IL; and 4 sisters , Esther (and George) Kieser and Lillian (and John) Elsasser both of Princeville, IL, Irene (and Robert) Weyeneth of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Rose Ann (and Richard) Aeschleman of South Bend , IN. Her parents, two brothers and one great-granddaughter preceded her in death.

She and her husband farmed in the rural Speer area for 42 years. She also did volunteer work for Proctor Hospital , Peoria . She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2002 , at Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Ministers of the Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 til 4 p.m. and 6 til 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and one hour prior to funeral services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery , Princeville.
