Obituary of Edward R. Knobloch

Princeville - Edward R. Knobloch, 87, of the Apostolic Christian Skyline Home, Peoria , formerly of Princeville, died at 5:30 pm Friday, January 25, 2002 , at the home.

Born July 16, 1914 , in Lyon County , Iowa , to William and Pauline Feucht Knobloch, he married Lucille Endress in Princeville on January 7, 1940 .

She survives, along with 3 sons , Edward (and Frances) Knobloch of Wyoming, IL, Jack (and Nancy) Knobloch of Galva, IL, and Loris (and Pat) Knobloch of Princeville; 1 daughter , Donna (and Kenny) Gehrig of Princeville; 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers , William "Nick" (and Gladys) Knobloch and James (and Helen) Knobloch both of Princeville, and Robert (and Marvel) Knobloch of Morton, IL; 5 sisters , Esther (and George) Kieser, Ruth (and Dave) Kieser, and Lillian (and John) Elsasser, all of Princeville, Irene (and Robert) Weyeneth of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Rose Ann (and Richard) Aschleman of South Bend , IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Harold in 1934, and 2 infant great-grandchildren.

He farmed in the Wyoming and Princeville areas and also worked for Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria until retiring.

He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Princeville where services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, January 29, 2002 . Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2002 , from 2 to 4:00 pm , then from 6 to 8:00 pm at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, and also 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery , Princeville.
