Obituary of Lydia Alice Meyer Edelstein - Lydia Alice Meyer, 90, a resident of Apostolic Christian Skylines, Peoria , formerly of Edelstein, died at 3:43 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2002 , at Apostolic Christian Skylines. Born February 28, 1912 , in Ottosen , Iowa , the daughter of Henry and Bertha Scheppman Sauder, she married Walter H. Meyer July 17, 1948 , in Edelstein. He preceded her in death March 9, 1959 , in Edelstein. Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers, Edward, George, and Elmer Sauder. Surviving is 1 daughter , Henrietta Meyer of Reston , VA , and 1 sister , Fredricka Bowman of Rockford , IL . She and her husband owned and operated Meyer Plumbing & Heating for 12 years. She also served as the administrator of the Apostolic Christian Home , Peoria (now Apostolic Christian Skylines, Inc.) for 4 years. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2002 , at the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. , then from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and also from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the church on Saturday.
