Obituary of Opal L. Slane Plank Princeville - Opal L. Slane Plank, 89, a resident of Miller Merry Manor in Hope , IN , for the past three and a half years, formerly of Princeville and DeLand , FL , died at 12:00 Noon , Sunday, March 24, 2002 , at the Manor. Born December 12, 1912 , near Trivoli , IL , the daughter of William and Maude Phillips Hartman, she first married Harold O. Slane on January 14, 1934 , in Peoria . He died January 25, 1976 , in Peoria . She then moved to DeLand , FL , marrying Paul Plank on June 5, 1982 , in DeLand. He died March 4, 1984 , in DeLand. Also preceding her in death is 1 brother and 1 sister. Surviving are 3 sons , Donald G. (and Alice) Slane of Columbus, IN, Kenneth R. (and Helen) Slane and Melvin B. (and Colette) Slane, both of Peoria ; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Peoria County Home Extension, and First Presbyterian Church, Princeville. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, March 29, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery . Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
