Obituary of Dorothy L. Shaw Dunlap - Dorothy L. Shaw, 78, of Dunlap, died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2002 , at her residence. Born June 10, 1923 , in rural Peoria County , Illinois , the daughter of Elmer A. and Hulda A. Johnson Pierson, she married Ralph W. Shaw April 26, 1956 , in Peoria . He survives. Also surviving are 1 son , Bill (and Nancy) Shaw of Dunlap , IL ; 1 brother , Robert L. (and Virginia) Pierson of Edelstein, IL; 1 sister , Wilma J. (and Jack) Fry of Dunlap , IL ; 1 niece ; and 4 nephews . Her parents preceded her in death. She worked at Chris Hoerr & Sons for 15 years. She also worked at Dunlap State Bank, and she was the Radnor Township Real Estate Tax Collector for 20 years. She was a member of Brage Svithiod Lodge # 29 in Peoria and a 10-year member of the Flemish American Club in Kewanee. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church , Dunlap. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2002 , at Prospect United Methodist Church , Dunlap. Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery , Dunlap. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Dunlap Fire & Rescue, or Prospect United Methodist Church , Dunlap.
