Obituary of Lawrence W. Shaw Princeville - Lawrence W. "Larry" Shaw, 84, of rural Princeville, died 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2002 , at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria . Born October 6, 1918 , in Stark County , Illinois , the son of Reuben and Ruth Graves Shaw, he married Florence A. Slane April 2, 1950 , at the home of her parents in Jubilee Township , which is now their home. She survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters , Rhonda Jones of Dunlap , IL , Christine (and Larry) Ciacio of Golden, CO, and Linda (and Steve) Sorenson of Denver, CO; 2 sons , Larry (and Maj-Britt) Shaw of Coralville, IA, and William (and Elizabeth) Shaw of Princeville , IL ; 8 grandchildren ; 1 sister , Marjorie McDonough of Brimfield , IL ; and 3 brothers , Kenneth (and Dorothy) Shaw of Morrison , IL , Elmer (and Patricia) Shaw of Indianapolis, IN, and Lyle Shaw of Orlando , FL. His parents and one brother Raymond Shaw preceded him in death. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He worked as a lineman at Cilco for 33 years retiring in 1980. He was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Larry Kirk will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 til 8 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery , Princeville.
