Obituary of Iva J. Swiger Princeville - Iva J. Swiger, 67, of 219 E. High, died 5:40 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2002 , at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria . Born October 26, 1934 , in Princeville , Illinois , the daughter of Russell W. and Caroline Friedman Camp, she married Gerald "Guy" Swiger December 24, 1958 , in Peoria . He died August 30, 1974 , in rural Peoria County . Also preceding her in death are her parents and one sister. Surviving are 2 sons , Douglas (and Cheri) Swiger of Chillicothe, IL, and Derick "Boom" Swiger of Princeville, IL; 1 daughter , Lynette Curtis of Princeville, IL ; 4 grandchildren ; and 2 sisters , Dorothy (and Sam) Hyde of Princeville, IL, and Jeannette (and Dave) Williams of Washburn, WI. She was a clerk at A.K. Oil Company in Princeville, for many years until retiring. She was a member of the Princeville VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary. Cremation has been accorded and graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2002 , at Princeville Cemetery , Princeville. Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. There will be no visitation, but the family will receive friends at the Princeville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall following the graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron/Princeville Ambulance Service or Akron/Princeville Fire Department. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
