Obituary of Delwin E. Walliker

Princeville - Delwin E. Walliker, 78, of rural Princeville, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2002 , in the emergency room at OSF St. Francis Medical Center , Peoria .

Born October 26, 1923 , in Monica , Illinois , the son of Reginald and Myrtle Catton Walliker, he married Dorothy A. Libby on December 14, 1950 , in Brimfield , Illinois . She survives.

Also surviving are 2 sons , Bill L. (and Marlene) Walliker of Sevierville , TN , and Jim H. (and Sue) Walliker of Howell, New Jersey ; 11 grandchildren ; and

1 great-granddaughter . His parents and one son, John E. Walliker preceded him in death.

He farmed in the Princeville and Millbrook Townships , retiring in 1986. He also was a former member of the Laborers Local 165, where he worked in road construction helping build I-74. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Toulon , and was a former member of Laura United Methodist Church , where he served on the board of trustees for several years.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Fred Reiner will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 til 8 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2002 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Burial will be in Brimfield Cemetery , Brimfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church , Toulon or Oral Roberts Ministries .
