2 nd AMENDED Obituary of Frederick P. Carroll

Brimfield - Frederick P. Carroll, 91, of Brimfield, died 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2003 , at his residence.

Born October 13, 1912 , in Brimfield , Illinois , the son of Francis "Frank" and Mary Ellen Maher Carroll, he married Frances M. Burrus on November 25, 1943 , in Galesburg , Illinois . She survives.

Also surviving are 3 sons, Fred (and Brenda) Carroll, Martin (and Teri) Carroll, and Michael (and Theresa) Carroll all of Brimfield , IL ; 2 daughters, Martha (and Jerry) Scheirer of Metamora , IL , and Ruth (and Bill) McKown of Brimfield , IL ; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. His parents and one brother, Robert Carroll preceded him in death.

He farmed north of Brimfield his entire life. He served on the Calvary Cemetery Board, was a founding member of the Brimfield Farmer's Club and was a 20-year member of the Brimfield Fire District Board.

He was a member of St. Joseph 's Catholic Church, Brimfield, where a Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2003 . Rev. Lawrence Morrissey will officiate. Visitation will be 3 til 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2003 , at St. Joseph 's Catholic Church, with recitation of Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , rural Brimfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph 's Catholic Church Building Fund or BYE Ambulance.
