Obituary of Kenneth Charles Compton, Jr.

Laura - Kenneth Charles "Chuckie" Compton, Jr., 33, of 22908 N. Route 78, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003 , as a result of a single car accident in Stark County .

Born November 11, 1969 , in Peoria , Illinois , the son of Kenneth Charles and Marjorie Leann Fitch Compton, Sr.

Surviving are his mother , Marjorie Johnson of Buckley, WA; 2 daughters , Elizabeth Campbell-Compton and Christina Noell Campbell-Compton; 2 brothers , Samuel Thomas (and Lacey) Compton of Buckley, WA, and Joseph L. (and Denise) Johnson of Oklahoma; 1 sister , Debbie (and Mike) Simpson of Brimfield, IL; maternal grandmother , Betty Lou Fitch of Buckley, WA; and several nieces and nephews . His father, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather preceded him in death.

He worked for Wilson Manufacturing in Brimfield, most recently he worked for Ashley Construction in Peoria .

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Bill Bunnage will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the memorial service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Laura United Methodist Church .
