Obituary of John H. Elsasser Princeville - John H. Elsasser, 84, of Princeville, died at 12:30 p.m. , Saturday, December 27, 2003 , at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria , where he had been a patient for 10 days. Born April 5, 1919 , in Edelstein , Illinois , the son of William and Marie Hoerr Elsasser, he married Lillian M. Knobloch on September 7, 1941 , in Princeville. She survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, James (and Vickie) Elsasser of Dunlap , IL , and Brian (and Mary Beth) Elsasser of Princeville , IL ; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. His parents, two sons, Steve Elsasser and Mark Elsasser, one great-grandson, four sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving four years, part of that time in the South Pacific as a medic. He farmed near Edelstein, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Peoria County Farm Bureau and the Peoria County Beef Improvement Association. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville, where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003 . Ministers of the Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 til 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 til 8:30 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2003 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and forty-five minutes prior to the funeral at the church on Tuesday.
