Obituary of Karl E. Kroesen 

Brimfield - Karl E. Kroesen, 82, of rural Brimfield, died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003 , at his residence.

Born September 26, 1920 , in Peoria , the son of Elmer and Elsie O'Leary Kroesen, he married Lois M. Carlson on February 17, 1951 , in Peoria . She died on February 20, 2000 , in rural Brimfield. Also preceding him in death was 1 sister.

Surviving is 1 son, Scott (Debbie) Kroesen of rural Brimfield, 1 daughter, Linda (Gene) Smania of Mendota, IL, 2 grandchildren, and 1 sister, Edna Root of Chillicothe , IL .

A WWII US Army Aircorps veteran, he served in the Philippines and Japan . He farmed for over 53 years in rural Brimfield.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be Friday, September 26, 2003 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. There will be no visitation.
