Obituary of Christy Nowak

Princeville - Linda Christine "Christy" Nowak, 50, of Princeville, died 9:05 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003 , at her residence.

Born July 31, 1952 , in Peoria , Illinois , the daughter of James William and Doris Winter Long, she married James D. Nowak on June 26, 1993 , in Princeville. He survives.

Also surviving mother and step-father, Doris (and James) Chianakas of Princeville, IL; 1 son, Joshua L. Harwood, of Peoria, IL; 1 daughter, Alicia C. Pensinger of Princeville, IL; 1 step-daughter, Amanda S. Roberts of Princeville, IL; 3 grandchildren, Faith Pensinger, Cody Smith and Rylen Roberts; 1 brother, Randy H. (and Sara) Long of Princeville, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Her father preceded her in death.

She was a 1970 Princeville High School graduate. She graduated in 1973 from St. Anthony School of Nursing, Rock Island . She worked as an RN,CCM, for OSF Health Plans, Peoria as a Supervisor of Case Management. She previously worked for Aetna Life & Casualty, Peoria , in Case Management.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Princeville, where funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2003 . Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 til 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2003 , at First Presbyterian, Princeville. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery , Princeville.
