Obituary of Ralph W. Shaw Dunlap - Ralph W. Shaw, 87, of Dunlap, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, November 9, 2003 , at his residence. Born March 15, 1916 , in Dunlap, the son of George and Nellie Meyers Shaw, he married Dorothy L. Pierson on April 26, 1956 , at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria . She died on April 5, 2002 , in Dunlap. Surviving is one son, Bill (and Nancy) Shaw of rural Dunlap, and 1 sister, Dorothy Beddow of Chillicothe , IL . He farmed in Radnor Township all of his life. He also worked as Supplies Manager for Illinois Department of Transportation in Peoria for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He was a 45-year member of Brage Svithiod Lodge #29, Peoria , and a member of Peoria County Farm Bureau. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Mary Kathryn [please use BOTH names!] Pearce will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery , Dunlap. Memorial contributions may be made to Dunlap Fire and Rescue Squad.
