Obituary of Beryl Vivian Ashbaugh

Dunlap - Beryl Vivian Ashbaugh, 101, formerly of rural Dunlap, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2004 , at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard , Illinois , where she had been a resident.

Born July 21, 1902 , the daughter of Christian Robert an Harriet Christian Morse Liable, she married W. Wyatt Ashbaugh on June 20, 1923, in Freeport , IL . He died January 17, 1995 .

Surviving are 2 sons, Alden (and Bernadine J.) Ashbaugh of New Berlin, IL, and Duane (and Emily) Ashbaugh of Warrenton , MO ; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Her parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1924, with a degree in Home Economics. She was a member of the Peoria County Home Extension and Prospect United Methodist Church , Dunlap.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. , Friday, January 30, 2004 , at Swan Lake Memory Gardens , Peoria . Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce (please use both names) will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
