Obituary of Marcia S. Burgess Princeville - Marcia S. Burgess, 86, of Princeville, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2004 , at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria , where she had been a patient since July 23 rd . Born April 4, 1918 , in Williamsfield , IL , the daughter of Frederick A. and Isla M. Kneer Steinman, she married Paul M. Burgess on May 8, 1936 , in Galesburg , IL . He preceded her in death on August 26, 1994 , in Peoria . Also preceding her in death was an infant brother. Surviving are two sons, Paul R. (and Ellie) Burgess of Naples, FL, and Mike Burgess of rural Princeville, 1 daughter, Nancy J. (and Richard) Guingrich of Peoria Heights, IL, 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was a life member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary, Peoria , and a former member of the Laura United Methodist Church . Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
