Obituary of Eugen Christ Princeville - Eugen Christ, 81, of Princeville, died 10:26 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2004 , in Peoria County , Illinois , the result of a two-car accident. Born April 16, 1923 , in Scheppach , Germany , the son of Christian and Luise Siegle Christ, he married Elsa Schulten on January 13, 1945 , in Scheppach , Germany . She died also on Monday, July 26, 2004 , as a result of the same two-car accident in Peoria County . Surviving are 2 daughters, Gisela A. (and James) Stogsdill of East Moline, IL, and Hanne "Lori" (and Frank) Reliford of Peoria, IL; 1 son, Wolfgang (and Barbara) Christ of Princeville, IL; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Fritz Christ and Kurt Christ both of Germany, and Walter Christ of Elmwood, IL; and 4 sisters, Rosa Seebach and Elsa Arnold both of Germany, Frida Christ and Martha Plattner both of Peoria, IL. His parents and one brother preceded him in death. He owned and operated Christs Bakery in Princeville for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2004 , at Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and also from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery , Princeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron/Princeville Ambulance Service or Apostolic Christian Skylines, Inc. Peoria .
