Corrected Obituary of Luella Cline
Dunlap - Luella Stuck Cline, 89, a lifelong resident of rural Dunlap, died 9:55 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004 , at her residence.
Born February 21, 1915 , in Dunlap , Illinois , the daughter of Rollin R. and Bessie Harlan Stuck, she married Donald E. Cline on August 21, 1943 , in Dunlap. He died March 19, 1979 . Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters.
Surviving are 3 sons, Robert (and Bunni correct spelling ) Cline of Peotone, IL, John Cline of rural Dunlap, IL, and Lynn Cline of Springfield, MO; 1 sister, Ardith (and Everette) Simpson of Bloomington, IL; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Illinois State University in 1940 and taught in the Sullivan, Kelly Avenue , and Banner Elementary Schools for several years. She was a member of the Peoria Area Retired Teachers Association, the Illinois State University Geography Tripper's Club, and the Peoria County Farm Bureau. She was the church historian for the Prospect United Methodist Church , Dunlap, where she was a lifelong member.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004 , at Prospect United Methodist Church . Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce (please use both names) will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral services on Thursday. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery , Dunlap.
