Obituary of Mark A. Fitch Brimfield - Mark A. Fitch, 50, of Brimfield, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 , while trucking near Wheeling , West Virginia , due to an apparent heart attack. Born July 9, 1953 , in Peoria , Illinois , the son of Merlyn R. and Betty L. Williams Fitch. Surviving is his mother of Buckley, WA; 1 daughter, Carrie Latta of Peoria, IL; 1 son, Brad Fitch of Peoria, IL; 1 grandson; 4 brothers, A. Dean (and Sherry) Fitch of Dallas, OK, Michael R. Fitch of Yates City, IL, F. Daniel Fitch of Buckley, WA, and Kenneth W. Fitch of Spokane, WA; and 4 sisters, Marjorie L. Johnson of Buckley, WA, Patricia J. (and Keith) Woertz of Dunlap, IL, Gretchen M. (and Paul) Stanley of Waco, GA, and Jennifer F. (and Alvin) Swanson of Creve Coeur, IL. His father preceded him in death. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He worked as a cross-country truck driver for many years, most recently for Carlson Trucking in Galesburg . Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 , at Northwest United Methodist Church , Peoria . Rev. Deron Boyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Cremation will be accorded following the services and burial of ashes will be in Brimfield Cemetery , Brimfield, at a later date.
