Obituary of Dorothea Kieser

Edelstein - Dorothea Kieser, 90, formerly of rural Edelstein and Morton, died 2:00 p.m. , Thursday, October 7, 2004 , at Apostolic Christian Skylines, Inc., Peoria , where she was a resident for several years.

Born August 23, 1914 , in Peoria County , Illinois , the daughter of George and Marie Kaeb Kieser.

Surviving is a niece, Janet (and Michael) Weber of Peoria, a nephew, Robert F. Souder of Venice , CA , and eight great-nieces and nephews. Her parents, one brother, and four sisters preceded her in death.

She worked for the Peppermill Restaurant in Morton for several years and also cleaned homes and businesses in the Peoria and Morton areas. She was the biscuit-maker for Hardee's in Peoria for many years, and volunteered for PARC.

She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2004 . Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and also on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery .
