Obituary of Orvil E. Lansdown Princeville - Orvil E. Lansdown, 92, of Ponca City , OK , formerly of Princeville, died at 1:25 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004 , at the Via Christi Hospital in Ponca City , Oklahoma . Born April 29, 1912 , in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma , the son of Ezra and Irene Bush Lansdown, he married Irene Hibbs on July 20, 1943 , in Brooklyn , New York . She died February 21, 1986 , in Peoria . He is survived by 4 brothers, John Lansdown of Ponca City, OK, Paul Lansdown of Enid, OK, Irvan Lansdown of Alva, OK and Joe Lansdown of Alva, OK; 2 sisters Stella Bullard of Enid, OK and Laura Mae Tolle of Geary, OK; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers Forest , Gais, Perry, Hilton, Lawrence, Ralph and Ivan; and 2 sisters Cecil Culp and Mary Edith Tarrant. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Coast Guard. He worked for the Dunlap State Bank for several years and then he and his wife owned and operated the Lansdown Clothing and Variety Store in Princeville for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Princeville United Methodist Church . Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004 in the Princeville Cemetery .
