Obituary of Diane M. Rickey

Princeville - Diane M. Rickey, 46, of Princeville, died at 3:20 p.m. , Friday, March 19, 2004 , in the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria .

Born August 9, 1957 , in Peoria , Illinois , the daughter of James and Betty Sheely Jenkins, she married Robert L. Rickey, Jr. on June 21, 1975 , in Princeville. He survives.

Also surviving is her mother, Betty (and Richard) Close of Belleview , FL ; 1 son, James Robert "Jamie" Rickey of Princeville , IL ; 1 daughter, Tara Michelle (and Nicholas) Davies of Creve Coeur, IL; 1 granddaughter, Jordyn Nicole Davies; 2 brothers, Rod (and Patti) Jenkins of Princeville, IL, and Dale (and Lisa) Jenkins of Loughborough, Swithland , England . Her father preceded her in death.

She and her sister-in-law cleaned homes in the Princeville area and she also worked for her brother at the Butcher Block in the Metro Center , Peoria . She most recently worked at the Village Bake Shop, Princeville, for the past two years, until it's closing on December 24, 2003 . She was a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church .

Cremation has been accorded and memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will be in Princeville Cemetery at a later date.
