Obituary of Raymond F. Tucker Peoria - Raymond F. Tucker, 86, of Peoria , formerly of Princeville, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2004 , at Proctor Hospital , Peoria . Born March 29, 1918 , in Dunlap , Illinois , the son of Burt O. and Ethel Rogers Tucker, he married Maxine C. Searle on March 2, 1952 , in Peoria . She survives. Also surviving are 1 daughter, Flora Jean (please use both names) (and Robert) Burns of Amarillo, TX, 1 brother, Robert A. Tucker, of Quincy, IL, and 1 sister, Emma Douglas of Bourbonnais, IL. His parents, 2 sisters, Blanche Hicks and Alma Black, and an infant brother preceded him in death. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater at Tarawa . He first farmed west of Dunlap and in Speer for 14 years, and then he worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company at the Mossville plant from 1964 until retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Caterpillar's Retiree Club, Princeville American Legion Post #248, and the Peoria County Farm Bureau. He attended Princeville United Methodist Church . Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery , Dunlap.
