Obituary of William C. Werneburg Toulon - William C. Werneburg, 65, of rural Toulon , died 1:40 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2004 , at Methodist Medical Center , Peoria , where he had been a patient since July 28, 2004 . Born January 3, 1939 , in Grinnell , Iowa , the son of William C. and Nadine Davis Werneburg, he married Edna Rhodes on July 30, 1971 . She survives, along with 3 sons, Bill (and Marty) Werneburg of Chillicothe, IL, Scott (and Candy) Werneburg of Princeville, and Todd Werneburg of Michigan ; 1 daughter, Renee Haley of Princeville; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He worked as a material handler for 19 years for Alcoa in Princeville, retiring when the plant closed in 2001. He was a member of the Allendale Conservation Club, and the NRA. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 17, 2004 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Princeville Cemetery . Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Ambulance, Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service, or to the Akron-Princeville Fire & Rescue Department.
