Obituary of Larry W. Barber Laura - Larry W. Barber, 62, of Laura, died at 6:51 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2005 , at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, Galesburg , IL . Born June 21, 1942 , in Fairfield , Iowa , the son of John Elmer and Marjorie Juanita Greene Barber, he married Carra Dianne Redfern on February 9, 1964 , in New London , IA. She survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Larry Andrew (and Lisa Holloway) Barber of Stafford, VA, and John Wade Barber of Richmond, VA; 2 grandchildren, Devon Samuel Barber and Alisha Nicole Barber of Stafford, VA; and 2 brothers, Dennis (and Milinda) Barber and Steve Barber both of Keosauqua, IA. His parents and one infant son, Todd Barber preceded him in death. He worked as a glazier out of Peoria Glaziers Local #1164 for 40 years, retiring in March of 2002. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2005 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Marc Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services.
