Obituary of Vicki S. Fairfield
Dunlap - Vicki S. Fairfield, 51, died Saturday afternoon, February 19, 2005, at her
residence, after a long bout with diabetes and a history of strokes.
She was born September 21, 1953, in Peoria, the daughter of Peter C. and Pauline A. Dimmick Fairfield.
Surviving are 3 brothers, Ted (and Leah) Fairfield of Toulon, IL, Bill (and Carol) Fairfield of Monica, IL, and Peter (and Linda) Fairfield of Edelstein, IL; 4 sisters, Fran Richards of Adair, OK, Jean (and Cliff) Theobald of Princeville, IL, Sharon (and Paul) Shive of Coarsegold, CA, and Charlotte (Gary) Hankinson of Monica, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents and one sister, Kathleen Fairfield, preceded her in death.
A graduate of St. Mary's School, Kickapoo, and Princeville High School, she also attended Illinois Central College. She worked as an assembler for L.R. Nelson Company for 28 years, last working in 2002. Proficient in sign language, she interpreted for the deaf for various functions. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, where she served as a lector and a Eucharistic Minister, and its Rosary Guild, which made Rosaries for people all over the world. She also attended Set Free Christian Fellowship in Washington, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Dunlap. Father Bruce Lopez will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hammitt-Hott funeral home, Princeville, with a Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery, Princeville.
