Obituary of Ellen Irene Feldman
Peoria – Ellen Irene Feldman, 90, a resident of Washington Christian Village, Washington, a long-time Peoria resident, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2005, at Proctor Hospital.
Born November 9, 1914, in Elmwood, the daughter of Lee and Anna Eliza Page Thomas, she married Harold V. Feldman on April 1, 1934, in Peoria. Harold died on July 18, 1995, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death was 1 grandson, Chad Hopkins.
Surviving are 2 sons, Jim (and Patricia) Feldman of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Tim (and Sherrill) Feldman of East Peoria; 3 daughters, Roxann (and Larry) Hopkins of Springfield, IL, Charene (and Dennis) Manning of East Peoria, and Sandra (and William) White of Crawfordsville, IN; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Charlotte Prose of Peoria.
A graduate of Peoria Central High School, she was an Avon Representative in the Peoria area for over 25 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Peoria, and was a life-long member of Glen Oak Christian Church, where she was the former Sunday School Superintendent and a deaconess.
Ellen Irene Feldman donated her body for medical research through the Anatomical Gift Association, Chicago.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at Glen Oak Christian Church, 1115 E Republic Ave, Peoria. Pastor Paul B. Isom will officiate. There will be no visitation.
