Obituary of Maxine L. Kelly

Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills - Maxine L. Kelly, 86, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills in rural Canton, Illinois, died 8:30 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2005, at Chandler Regional Medical Center, Chandler, AZ.

Born June 18, 1918, in Laura, Illinois, the daughter of Everett and Lula Mae Roberts Reimolds, she married Peter C. "Pete" Kelly on April 4, 1964, in Roanoke, IL. He died March 17, 2002, in Mesa, AZ.

Surviving are 1 son, Herbert (and Sharon) Updyke of Chandler, AZ; 1 grandson, Michael C. ( and Lisa) Updyke of Tempe, AZ; 2 great-grandchildren, Danielle Updyke and Nicolas Updyke; 4 sisters, Bertha Coddington of Peoria, IL, Beulah Talbot of Abingdon, IL, Margie Smith and Marie Smith both of Monmouth, IL; and 2 brothers, Paul Allen (and Carol) Reimolds and Robert (and Dixie) Reimolds both of Monmouth, IL. Her parents, six sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death.

She first worked for the Palace Gift Shop, Peoria, IL. She later worked for Adelyn's Gift Shop in Peoria, IL, for several years before retiring.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2005, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville.
