Peoria - Ruth N. Kratzer, a resident of Heritage Manor, Chillicothe, formerly of Oak Hill, Lawn Ridge, and Peoria, died at 3:02 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Proctor Hospital, Peoria.

Born August 5, 1916, in Elmwood, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Libby Merle Weidner Wolf.

Surviving are 1 son, Gary (and Pam) Kratzer of Princeville, IL; 1 daughter, Wendy (and Rick) Bassett of Seabrook Island, SC; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Margaret Emerick of Elmwood, IL, and Mildred (and Willis) Spafford of Yates City, IL. Her parents and one son, Phillip Charles Kratzer preceded her in death.

She was a bookkeeper for Super X and Kroger stores at the Wisconsin Plaza in Peoria, for over 35 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church, Mossville, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at Crossroads Baptist Church, Mossville. Rev. James Clark will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, Mossville or Children’s Miracle Network.
