Obituary of Florence L. O'Toole
Brimfield – Florence L. O’Toole, 88, of Brimfield, died at 5:30 p.m., Thursday,
November 3, 2005, at her residence.
Born June 3, 1917, in Kickapoo, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Lucy Brutcher Gilles, she married John H. O’Toole on July 15, 1939, in Kickapoo. He died March 29, 1999, in Peoria.
Surviving is 1 son, Michael J. (and Linda) O’Toole of Cedar Rapids, IA; son-in-law, C.P. (and Ann) Harding of Normal, IL; 3 daughters, Peggy Viehmeyer and Kathy (and Robert) Beckert both of Peoria, IL, and Rita (and Craig) Schneider of Anaheim, CA; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Howard (and Gladys) Gilles and Paul (and Mickie) Gilles both of Brimfield, IL. Her parents, two daughters, Elizabeth Harding and Patricia O’Toole, one son, Robert O’Toole, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
She was a member of Brimfield American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brimfield, and it’s Altar & Rosary.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2005, at her church. Father Lawrence Morrissey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at her church, with recitation of rosary at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kickapoo.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church or BYE Ambulance.
