Obituary of Richard W. Peterson Edelstein - Richard W. Peterson, 51, of rural Edelstein, died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 , at his residence. Born March 5, 1953 , in Peoria , Illinois , the son of Walter and Irene Pfiefer Peterson. Surviving is his mother, Irene Peterson of Peoria , IL ; 1 daughter, Beth (and Steven) Terrell of Peoria, IL; 2 sons, Paul (and Sheila) Peterson of Peoria Heights, IL, and Jeremiah of Mackinaw, IL; 5 grandchildren; 1 sister, Barb (and Jeff) Welch of Morton , IL ; and Judy DuWaldt of Edelstein , IL , with whom he made his home. His father and two grandchildren preceded him in death. He was a carpenter in the Peoria area and was a member of the Peoria Local 183 Carpenter's Union . He also was a member of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Organization) and the PeoTaz ABATE. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Visitation will be two hours prior to funeral service at the funeral home on Friday. Cremation will follow the services. Memorial contributions may be made to ABATE.
