Obituary of Vivian V. Taylor

Dunlap – Vivian V. Taylor, 90, of Dunlap, formerly of Peoria and Anderson, IN, died at 7:10 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, where she had been a patient for one day.

Born October 10, 1914, in Wolcotville, IN, the daughter of Frank C. and Bessie Seybert Wolfe, she married John F. Taylor in Anderson, IN, in 1948. He died in 1972, in Burbank, IL. Also preceding her in death were 3 grandchildren.

Surviving is 1 daughter, Jacqueline (and Ron) Gilles of Dunlap, IL; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; and 1 sister, Evelyn Kyzivan-McMillan of Mesa, AZ.

She worked as a clerk for Ron’s True Value Hardware Store, Princeville, then later for Biehl’s Cleaners, Peoria, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Peoria, its Ruth Lingle Sunday School Class, and the Ruby Thompson Bible Study. She also attended a Bible study at Grace and Peace Lutheran Church.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at Grace Presbyterian Church. Rev. Bob Donaldson, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, and Rev. Richard Hanson, pastor of Grace & Peace Lutheran Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. Burial of ashes will take place at Anderson Memorial Park, Anderson, IN, at a later date.
