Obituary of John R. Williams

Princeville - John R. Williams, 65, of rural Princeville, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at his residence.

Born December 31, 1939, in Peoria, the son of John Harvey and Phoebe Ellen Miller Williams, he married Connie Sherrill on July 21, 1996, in Princeville.

She survives, along with 2 step-sons, Rodney (and Andrea) Miller of Germantown Hills, IL, and Robert (and Fatima) Miller of Rorschach, Switzerland; 1 step-daughter, Renee (and Pat) Langdon of Houston, TX; 5 step-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lois (and Harold) Niedermeier of Rock City, IL, and Edith (and Charles) Kline of West LaFayette, IN.

A graduate of Illinois State University, Normal, he owned and operated an insurance business for several years in Springfield, IL & Bollinger County, MO. He was a member of Romans 1513 Ministries, Princeville, and a former member of First Presbyterian Church, Princeville.

Local visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2005 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Further visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2005 , at Fairview United Methodist Church , Millersville , MO , with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Jimmie Corbin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Princeville, or to the Fairview United Methodist Church, Millersville, MO.
