Obituary of Armond Ralph Wilson
Princeville - Armond Ralph Wilson, 82, a long-time resident of Princeville, died at 6:33 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2005 , at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Chillicothe , where he had been a patient for 3 days.
Born January 26, 1923 , in Princeville, the son of John and Emma Blanche Oliver Wilson, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Bertha Ryberg, after the death of his mother. He married Patricia Ann Frank on September 5, 1942 , in Kewanee.
She survives and is also a resident of Heritage Manor, Chillicothe, 3 daughters, Pamela (and Donald) Tucker of Chillicothe, IL, Diana (and Fred) Glueck of Metamora, IL, and Denise (John) Eble of Laura, IL, 1 son, Keith (and Karen) Wilson of Chillicothe, 9 Grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 16 step great-grandchildren, and 1 step great-great granddaughter. 1 daughter, Patsy Miller, 4 brothers and 1 sister, preceded him in death.
He worked for Caterpillar, Inc, for 38 years, first as a machinist, then retiring as a gauge repairman in 1982. He was a member of the Princeville Lions Club, a former member of the Radnor Grange, and was an Amateur Radio Operator with the call of K9HAE, where he was active in MARS (Military Amateur Radio Service).
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 , at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Fred Reiner and Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 , at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery .
