Obituary of Jerrold E. Yess Princeville - Jerrold E. Yess, 79, of rural Princeville, died at 9:51 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005 , at Proctor Hospital , Peoria . Born September 11, 1925 , in Princeville , Illinois , the son of John E. and Jessie Smith Yess, he married Betty J. McDaniel on October 11, 1953 , in McLeansboro , IL . She survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Gayle (and Tom) Fisher of Houston, TX, and Gwen Green of rural Princeville; 3 sons, Greg (and Kari) Yess of St. Louis, MO, Gary (and Beth) Yess of Dallas, TX, and Garth (and Lacey) Yess of Peoria, IL; 7 grandchildren; and 1 sister, Sharon (and Dean) Chenoweth of Macomb, IL. His parents and one son, John Green preceded him in death. He served in the United States Army, post World War II. He also served on the Peoria County Board of Directors and the Princeville Unit District School Board. He was a member of the Berachah Bible Church of Peoria, where he served as treasurer for 19 years. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005 , at the First Presbyterian Church, Princeville. Rev. Gary Hutton will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to memorial service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to American Freedom Assembly, Inc., Box 235 , Trussville , AL 35173 .
