Wyoming – John A. Bayer, 73, of Morton, formerly of the Wyoming area, died at 12:50 pm Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, where he had been a patient since October 6th.

He was born November 3, 1932, in Stark County, Illlinois, the son of Paul and Frances Nadene Cutler Bayer.

Surviving is one son, Stephen Bayer of Peoria; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter; and one brother Donald Bayer of Moline, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dorothy Day.

John worked as a salesman and district manager for Central Petroleum Company of Wolcott, Iowa for over 30 years until retiring.

Cremation has been accorded.  John’s friends and family will conduct a graveside service at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Evergreen Memory Gardens, Kewanee.  There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northfield Christian Fellowship, Tremont, Illinois.
