Obituary of Harold Eugene "Butch" Headley

Princeville – Harold Eugene “Butch” Headley, 59, of Princeville, passed away picpeacefully at his home on November 9th, 2006.

He was born February 20, 1947, in Peoria, to Walter and Hazel Jacobs Headley.  Butch and Linda Smith were married on December 28, 1972, in the Peoria County Courthouse Square.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Linda; his loving son Denny (and Sonja) Headley; grandchildren, Griffin and Alyssa Headley; mother, Hazel Headley; brother, Jim (and Donna) Headley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Chuck Headley.

He graduated from Woodrow Wilson and Richwoods High School with high honors.  He retired from Caterpillar after 30 years.

Butch enjoyed entering his Mustang in car shows, traveling, being Grandpa, helping friends, playing Santa, farming, and spending winters in Texas.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Sunday, November 12, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church, 339 S Santa Fe, Princeville.  George Smith will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service.
