Obituary of Judith A. King

Princeville – Judith A. King, 63, of Princeville, died at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006, at her residence.

Born November 2, 1942, in Peoria, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy Hofer Swanson, she married Elbert L. King on February 20, 1959, in Keosauqua, Iowa. Elbert preceded her in death on February 22, 2006, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey L. King of Princeville, and Robert W. (and Kathleen) King of Hopewell; one daughter, Paula Kristine “PK” King of Princeville; four granddaughters; 1 brother, Robert E. (and Sue) Swanson of Peoria; and one sister, Sandra E. Besett of Willowick, Ohio.

Judy was a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Princeville for 30 years.

She was a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006. Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall at a luncheon following the service. A private burial of ashes will take place in Princeville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service, or to OSF Hospice Services.
