Obituary of Helen E. Lauber

Princeville – Helen E. Lauber, 89, of Princeville, died at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at her residence.

She was born October 13, 1916, in Monica, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Julia MacDougall Buck, she married Edmund L. Lauber, on March 16, 1940, in Princeville. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gerald E. (and Sharon) Lauber of Princeville, and Steven (and Marcia) Lauber of Monica; one daughter, Carole (and Dave) Bradshaw of Princeville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her parents, one brother and four sisters preceded her in death.

She and her husband farmed in the Monica area for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Monica United Methodist Church and it’s Happy Hour Club. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #91, Wyoming, and she volunteered at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, for several years.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Marc Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.
