Obituary of Normalee Long

Princeville – Normalee Long, 72, of Princeville, died at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at Heritage Manor, Chillicothe, where she had been a resident for the past three months.

She was born November 19, 1933, in Cuba, IL, the daughter of James W. & Louise Williams Long.

Surviving is her nephew Randy (and Sara) Long of Princeville; sister-in-law, Doris (and Jim) Chianakas of Princeville; three great nephews, two great nieces, and two great-great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Long, and a niece, Christy Nowak.

She worked as an aide at the Lillie M. Evans Library for several years and also worked for Flowers Potpourri, both in Princeville. She was a fifty-one year member of the Princeville United Methodist Church where she was active in the Esther Circle.

Cremation has been accorded. The family will receive friends Friday, June 9, 2006, from 5 to 7:00 p.m. at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be conducted at 7:00. A private burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.
