Princeville – Marie A. Starkweather, 73, of Princeville, died at 12:44 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.

Born September 7, 1932, in Princeville, the daughter of Roy & Lilla Crady Foster, she married Rollen Starkweather on June 11, 1953, in Princeville.

He survives, along with three sons, Richard of Princeville, Gary of Philadelphia, PA, and Kim of Peoria Heights; one daughter, Julee Frevert of Mapleton, IL; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one sister, Ellen Richoz of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by one sister, Viola Scheeler, and one brother, Harold Foster.

Marie was a graduate of the Methodist School of Nursing and was employed as a Registered Nurse by Dr. Emil Loeffler in Princeville for 30 years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006. Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. There will be no visitation but the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the memorial service. Cremation has been accorded and a private burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service, or to Akron-Princeville Fire & Rescue Department.
