Obituary of Roger S. Streitmatter

Princeville – Roger S. Streitmatter, 63, of 607 N Hightower St, Peoria, formerly of Princeville, died Monday, May 22, 2006, at his residence in Peoria.

He was born August 18, 1942, in Peoria, the son of Paul Louis and Emily O’Tilley Stickling Streitmatter.

Surviving are 2 sons, Richard Alan Streitmatter of Vietnam, and Joseph Michael Streitmatter of Dennisport, MA; 1 granddaughter, Jayde Mary Streitmatter of Dennisport; four brothers, Don (and Sadie) Streitmatter and Lee Streitmatter of Princeville, Dean (and Lillian) Streitmatter of Lake Charles, LA, and Chris Streitmatter of Mt. Pleasant, MI; three sisters, Mary Lou (and Rene) DeVoss of San Diego, CA, Pat Carter of Peoria Heights, and Eileen (and John) Sullivan of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ford.

Roger served in the US Air Force for five years. He worked for six years as an oil pump assembler for Caterpillar, and then later worked as a fuel truck driver for Murray’s Fuel Oil, Dennisport, MA. He was a member of Princeville Baptist Church.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
