Princeville – Sadie E. Streitmatter, 97, of rural Princeville, died at 6:17 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006, at Apostolic Christian Skylines, Inc., Peoria.

Sadie was born January 30, 1909, in Akron Township, Peoria County, Illinois, the daughter of Peter and Emma Kupfer Streitmatter.

Surviving is 1 sister, Elma H. Brown of Jacksonville, IL; eight nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Her parents, three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

She worked as a domestic housekeeper for several families in the Peoria area, last working for the John Cassidy, Sr. family, until retiring and moving back to the family farm in rural Princeville.

She was a member of Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville, where funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2006. Ministers of the Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, and also from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the Church. Burial will be in Streitmatter Cemetery, Princeville.
