Obituary of Herman Baer
Eureka – Herman Baer, 83, of Eureka, Illinois, formerly of the Princeville and Edelstein areas, died at 6:00 am Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
Herman was born January 23, 1924, in Edelstein, Illinois, the son of George and Magdalena Kieser Baer, he married Mary Ann Sauder on January 1, 1950, in Algona, IA. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Ronald (and Deann) Baer of Edelstein, IL; two daughters, Barbara Johnson of Farmington Hills, MI, and Debra (and Leon) Klopfenstein of Haviland, OH; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Baer of Morton, IL; and two sisters, Martha Bowald of Roanoke, IL, and Lydia (and Ralph) Hauter of Morton, IL. His parents, one son, Raymond Baer, five sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.
He was a farmer in the Edelstein area. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Eureka/Princeville.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville. Ministers of the Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, August 27, 2007, at Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall, Princeville, and also from 9:00 to 9:45 am on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Princeville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka or Methodist Hospice.
