Obituary of Lena Ann "Pete" Huyett

Princeville – Lena Ann “Pete” Huyett, 69, of Pauls Valley, OK, formerly of Princeville, passed from this life on September 13, 2007, in Pauls Valley.

She was born April 28, 1938, in Princeville, the daughter of Clifford and Esther Forney Begner.

Surviving is one son, Timothy (and Wendy) Begner of Princeville; one daughter, Jacqueline Thea Huyett of Elmore City, OK; two sisters, Alice (and Dale) Hammer and Phyllis Kniss both of Galesburg; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one honorary grandchild, two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; three aunts; several cousins, and a host of loyal, close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son, Tracy Allen Huyett.

Pete worked as a secretary for Days Wood Products in Pauls Valley retiring in 2003.  She enjoyed farm life, her horses, cows, dogs, cats, and fishing.  The highlights of her life were the birth of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  The most important thing she taught her family was to work hard and love unconditionally.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Princeville Cemetery.  Rev. Harry Losey will officiate.  Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
