Obituary of Sonya L. Meischner

Princeville – Sonya L. Meischner, 41, of Princeville, died at 1:45 pm Saturday, December 1, 2007, at her residence.

Sonya was born August 1, 1966, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of William Louis and Treva Rose Persich Wood.

Surviving are one daughter, Brittany Meischner of Princeville, IL; one son, Jacob Meischner of Princeville, IL; mother, Treva Wood of Marquette Heights, IL; father, William Wood of Ripley, TN; two sisters, Michelle Poorbaugh of Ripley, TN, and Stephanie Wood of Pekin, IL; and her grandmother, Velma Persich of Chillicothe, IL.  One brother, Mike Wood preceded her in death.

She worked at Jim’s Bistro in Peoria.  Sonya’s beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be 4:30 pm Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Princeville United Methodist Church.  Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm Thursday until time of funeral service.  Cremation will be accorded following the services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jacob & Brittany Meischner Benefit in care of Princeville State Bank.
